Introduction

Thank you for visiting the website for Truro Camera Club.  We hope you will find the information useful to find out more about us and our interest in photography.  If you would like any more details, please do not hesitate to contact us.

About the club

Formed over 50 years ago, Truro Camera Club has a membership with a broad range of ability and experience.

Most members are now using digital cameras and computer manipulation for their photography but we do have members using film cameras.

Our friendly members enjoy the hobby of photography and the relaxed family atmosphere we have at Truro Camera Club.

There are internal competitions within the club and inter-club competitions with other Cornish camera clubs. A few members compete far and wide through the affiliated links we have with other photographic organisations.

You can see the wide range of events organised by visiting the Winter Programme page. In addition members have meet ups during the year to share their expertise and love of photography.

All photographers are welcome whether beginners or experienced.  We have a programme that can be tailored to suit the needs of our members.  If there is a question you have on photography, one of our members will be sure to be able to help you find the answer!

If you don't know much about us yet, a good place to start would be the Gallery of Images to see the types of photographs taken by our members and submitted into competitions.

How to join Truro Camera Club

We are always keen to welcome new members to the club - you are very welcome to come to any of our meetings to see what we do with no obligation to join in the first instance.

When you have decided you would like to join, there is an annual fee of £30.  With over 30 meetings a year, in addition to summer meet ups and free entry into internal competitions, this works out as less than £1 a week which is exceptional value.

A raffle is held each week and refreshments can be purchased in the interval.
